Announcements 5-20-19

7-11th Grade Awards Assemblies will be on MONDAY, May 20.  The 9-11th Grade Assembly will be 9:30-10:30 and the 7-8th Grade Assembly will be 10:45-11:25This is the day before the last day for all students before semester tests and review day so you should be able to see all your students on the last day.

Students:  All library books should be turned in ASAP.

Any student in grades 8-11 who is interested in playing Tennis next year and was unable to come to the meeting, see Coach Seegraves.

Students who are interested in taking concurrent classes from ASU need to meet in the computer lab on Monday, May 20 at 1:00.  This includes Intro to Sociology, Intro to Psychology, World Lit, and Biology.  You will have to have an ACT or ACT Aspire cut score. 

Any student who is interested in taking an advanced art (Art II, Pre-AP, AP Art) class next year needs to get an application from Mrs. Tate by Thursday May 16th.  You have to have taken at least Art I and scored a "B" or better.

Grand March DVD's are available for $10.  Graduation and Grand March DVD's can be purchased for $13 for both.  Baccalaureate, Graduation, and Prom for $16.  Envelopes will be given to Seniors at Graduation Practice.

SEMESTER TEST SCHEDULE-  Wednesday, May 22 - Review Day (Students must attend review for semester test that they are taking- Regular Schedule) - Thursday, May 23, 7th/8th Grade 9:00 English 10:00 Science -- 9-11th Grades 1st pd 9:00, 3rd pd 10:00, 5th pd 11:00, and 7th pd 1:00.  Friday, May 24, 7th/8th  9:00 Math  10:00 Geography/History--9-11th Grade 2nd pd 9:00, 4th pd. 10:00, 6th pd 11:00, and 8th pd 1:00.  

8:00 - 8:55 will be Breakfast and Study Time in the Cafeteria on Thursday and Friday ----- 2:00-3:15 will be Make-up Tests and Handbook Committee on Thursday and Make-up Testing on Friday.  Lunch will be served from 11:30-12:30 both days.

Those students who would like to help manage the cost of joining all the club/organizations next year , here's a plan..  Join FCCLA this year! Pay your $15.00 dues now to be a member as soon as school starts next year.  Also, by joining now recieve the $5.00 coupon card from Sonic, really making you dues $10.00. See Mrs. Little. 8th Graders, you may participate if you plan to take one of Mrs. Little's classes.

Any person interested in purchasing a Donkey Basketball 2019 DVD for $10, there are envelopes in the office to for ordering.

No Grab n Go until further notice. Unless there is a specific meeting, do not let your students leave during activity period. That includes going to the gyms (new, middle, and old).  

Students:  Please check the lost and found for any coats, jackets, or other items.  

Any student planning to take the Driver's Test this summer should see Mrs. Shamala and get your name on the list for paperwork.

Any student grades 10-12 who is interested in working on the yearbook next school year, please see Sherry Taylor at the Superintendents office.   

Students in 9th - 11th grades see Mrs. Amber if you need to sign up for summer school for credit recovery.

Seniors:  Sign a poster on Mrs. Amber's door letting her know where you need a FINAL transcript sent.

***Students that graduate from one of the UA System schools will pay the base hourly tuition rate from the institution they were attending when they transfer to the U of A.  As an example, our current base tuition is $246.12 per credit hour, but students at UA Batesville currently pay $74 per credit hour.  So in this example students will get a scholarship for $172.12 per credit hour.  We are so excited for the students that will be able to take advantage of this opportunity!

Seniors:  Males attending ASU in the fall can fill out a card for a $250 bookstore scholarship drawing.  See Mrs. Amber for a card to fill out.

Seniors:  The Horatio Alger Association Career & Technical Scholarship is available online at application.horatioalger.org  - first priority deadline is June15, 2019.
