Announcements 5-14-19

NEW GYM will be CLOSED Wednesday through Friday for Cleaning and Graduation preparation.  Students should stay out of the bleachers in the New Gym on Monday and Tuesday.

The Junior High Baseball teams will play Tuckerman today at 5:30 at home in the 1st Round of the League Tournament.

Students:  All library books should be turned in by Friday.

Teachers:  Senior Grades must be in the computer by the end of the day on Tuesday.  Instructions for loading grades were sent in an email.

Any student who is interested in taking an advanced art (Art II, Pre-AP, AP Art) class next year needs to get an application from Mrs. Tate by Thursday May 16th.  You have to have taken at least Art I and scored a "B" or better.

7-11th Grade Awards Assemblies will be on MONDAY, May 20.  This is the day before the last day for all students before semester tests and review day so you should be able to see all your students on the last day.

Tennis sign-ups (grades 8-11) Tuesday(14th) during activity period in Coach Seegraves' outer office. Any 7th grader interested in playing in the summer tennis league may get information from Coach Seegraves.

 Golf meeting today, Tuesday during activity period in Coach Rabjohn's room for any boy or girl 9th-12th interested in playing golf next season.

The 8th Graders will meet in the new gym TODAY, Tuesday afternoon at 12:30 with a representative from BRTC about the Arkansas Scholars program. All 8th grade students will attend.

The Junior Class will have a meeting  Wednesday in the Library during activity period.

Try-outs for Sr high volleyball will be Wednesday, May 15th directly after school. Any girl trying out must have a current physical. 

FCCLA will meet next Thursday in the FCS room during activity period.

Any person interested in purchasing a Donkey Basketball 2019 DVD for $10, there are envelopes in the office to for ordering.

The give away for the 32" Flat screen TV with built in DVD player has been postponed until Friday May 17.  So you still have time to buy your chances.  See Ashlyn Roberts, Kaylee Smith, Jordon Leggett or Mrs. Little to buy chances.

Those students who would like to help manage the cost of joining all the club/organizations next year , here's a plan..  Join FCCLA this year! Pay your $15.00 dues now to be a member as soon as school starts next year.  Also, by joining now recieve the $5.00 coupon card from Sonic, really making you dues $10.00. See Mrs. Little and attend the FCCLA meeting in Mrs. Little's room this Thursday, May 16 during activity period.  8th Graders, you may attend if you plan to take one of Mrs. Little's classes.

Grand March DVD's are available for $10.  Graduation and Grand March DVD's can be purchased for $13 for both. 

No Grab n Go until further notice. Unless there is a specific meeting, do not let your students leave during activity period. That includes going to the gyms (new, middle, and old).  

Students:  Please check the lost and found for any coats, jackets, or other items.  

Any student planning to take the Driver's Test this summer should see Mrs. Shamala and get your name on the list for paperwork.

Any student grades 10-12 who is interested in working on the yearbook next school year, please see Sherry Taylor at the Superintendents office.   

Students in 9th - 11th grades see Mrs. Amber if you need to sign up for summer school for credit recovery.

Seniors:  If you have received a scholarship and you want it announced at graduation, see Mrs. Amber for a form to fill out.

Seniors:  Sign a poster on Mrs. Amber's door letting her know where you need a FINAL transcript sent.

***Students that graduate from one of the UA System schools will pay the base hourly tuition rate from the institution they were attending when they transfer to the U of A.  As an example, our current base tuition is $246.12 per credit hour, but students at UA Batesville currently pay $74 per credit hour.  So in this example students will get a scholarship for $172.12 per credit hour.  We are so excited for the students that will be able to take advantage of this opportunity!

Seniors:  The list of Honor Graduates has been posted on Mrs. Amber's door, the Office window, and on the Library window. 

Seniors:  The Horatio Alger Association Career & Technical Scholarship is available online at application.horatioalger.org  - first priority deadline is June15, 2019.
