School Choice deadline is May 1. Applications should be turned into the Piggott School District Superintendent Office by Wednesday, May 1.

Baseball team will be dismissed at 10:15 on Monday to travel to Rivercrest for the District Tournament.

The deadline without late fees for the June 8 ACT given at PHS is Friday, May 3.

Please excuse Natalie Blake and Madison Arenaz  to help with a Pace activity today.

Congratulations to Justice Midkiff for making All-State in Chess. He was one of six players in the 1A-3A Division.

**Senior Class Meeting Today (Monday) in the New Gym during Activity Period.

Seniors: Pictures and videos for the Senior Video MUST be turned in no later than Wednesday, April 24. You may submit via email or bring prints to Mrs. Peters or Aaron Fry. See Mrs. Peters if you have any questions.

 Jr Softball practice Monday 4:00.

Senior Track District will be on Monday at Osceola.  Please excuse all Sr track members at 8:15.

Sr High Softball District will be at Trumann on Tuesday. Please excuse at 12:15.

Piggott FFA Annual Awards Night will be Monday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m. in the Piggott High School Cafeteria.

There will be a Beta meeting for the following 11th grade members (plus three seniors who did not attend the senior meeting) in Mrs. Flowers’s room on Tuesday, April 23 during activity period:  Makayla Allman, Madison Bowers, Matthew Cheshire, Abigail Dutka, Charidy Featherston, Drake Featherston, Cooper Harris, Shianne Higdon, Catherine Hill, Benjamin Holcomb, Dalton James, Kassidy Krause, Michael Palmer, Ristel Payne, Madison Rahn, Destiny Robinson, Taylor Seal, Aliya Shultz, Kaylee Smith, Kirsten Smith, Holden Tarno, Braden Taylor, Carlie Vancil, Maggie Williams, Logan Allman, Isaac Langley, and Madi VanderKooi.

Any FBLA member (Middle level or Senior High) who would like to work the Color Run should see Mrs. Peters no later than Friday, April 26. The Color Run will be on Saturday, May 4.

Juniors - please submit to Sherry Taylor an idea or suggestion for a Senior T-shirt next year.  Deadline is last day of school.

Yearbooks are here!! - there will be a yearbook signing next Wednesday, April 24th in the middle gym from 1 pm - 3 pm.

Grab-n-Go is only for students to who are go to eat.  If you do not plan to eat then you are not to leave class to go hang out in the Cafeteria and/or the Gyms.--We now have our Grab'n'Go cart set up in the high school cafeteria. Any student that didn't get breakfast will have a chance to eat again during the Activity period. It will be quick foods not hot foods. You must stay in the cafeteria with the food.

A Powderpuff football game is scheduled for Thursday evening May 2. The classes need to get their teams together. Girls need permission slips to play and boys need permission slips to be cheerleaders. See Mrs. Little. 

Any student grades 10-12 who is interested in working on the yearbook next school year, please see Sherry Taylor at the Superintendents office.   

Students in 9th - 11th grades see Mrs. Amber if you need to sign up for summer school for credit recovery.

***Black River Technical College (BRTC) Pocahontas is having a Nursing Assistant class. This class will run from May 29-June 20th and is an evening class from 3:15-10:15 p.m. There will 4 Clinical days.  This class will train you to qualify for the Arkansas State CNA Exam. This program is open to students age 16 and up.  Orientation will be on April 29th at 4 pm and is required. Gaylon Lawrence Memorial Scholarship application is also in this folder. Deadline for GL Scholarship is May 1, 2019. This is a fillable scholarship application that can be completed and printed. An essay will also need to be attached.

Seniors:  The Holly Alonzo New Beginnings scholarship application is now available.  Let Mrs. Amber know if you would like it emailed to you.  It is to be submitted by email.  The deadline is May 13.  It is a $1500 scholarship to be paid over 2 semesters.  Priority is for a degree in a field that serves the public.

Seniors:  Baccalaureate service will be on Wednesday, May 8 @ 6:30 at First General Baptist Church.

Seniors:  The list of Honor Graduates has been posted on Mrs. Amber's door, the Office window, and on the Library window. 

Seniors:  The Kalem Rouse Memorial Scholarship application is available in Mrs. Amber's office.  Graduates planning to major/minor in Agriculture or in a Vo-Tech program  are encouraged to apply. 

Seniors:  The Horatio Alger Association Career & Technical Scholarship is available online at application.horatioalger.org  - first priority deadline is June15, 2019.

Seniors:  Textbook Brokers in Searcy has an online application for textbook scholarships.  These are chosen at random.  Deadline is May 31, 2019.  www.searcybooks.com  Schools served  by Textbook Brokers in Searcy are:  Harding, ASU Searcy, ASU Beebe, ASU Heber Springs.

Seniors:  Textbook Brokers in Conway.is offering a chance to win a textbook scholarship for  high school students who are attending UCA, CBC or UACCM in Fall 2019.  There  will be  2 winners chosen at UCA and UACCM then one winner for CBC.
